List of European Union countries and Schengen Area members

The European Union a political and economic union. This single market has no borders for trade. 19 Eurozone member countries use the Euro as their currency.

The Schengen Agreement signed in 1985 allows free movement of citizens without passport controls at border crossings within Schengen Area. It restricts the lenght of stay of citizens from outside the Schengen Area.
